Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. Three gorgeous carnelian intaglios: a tiny one with an image of an altar, and two larger ones, one showing a tall, standing, nude man holding a spear, the other showing a graceful woman dressed in a himation covering much of her body, holding what looks like a musical instrument. Each of these was made to be set into a ring. Size of largest: 0.7" H (1.8 cm)
