Native American, Alaska, Inuit, Aleutian, or Punuk peoples, Pre-Contact period, ca. 100 to 1000 CE. An intriguing ensemble of three hunting tools, all carved by hand from whale or walrus bone. The first is an arrow tip that features a triangular head, a slightly flared fletching, and a thick tang. Next is an awl, exhibiting a tapered form with a sharp point. The last fascinating implement is a scraper with a straight, slender blade and a thick, arched handle. Size of largest: 3.5" L x 1" W (8.9 cm x 2.5 cm); Size of included custom frame: 6.875" W x 8.875" H (17.5 cm x 22.5 cm)
