Description:

Pre-Columbian, Border area between Panama & Costa Rica (Diquis zone), ca. 1000-1500 CE. These three beautiful ollas of complementary sizes and kindred design motifs make a handsome trio. They share a striking, zigzag pattern that conjures images of the familiar spider legs on chocolate pots of the culture. The Pre-Columbian artisans enhanced these decorative programs with richly hued red, cream, and black slip. 5-1/4"T x 5-1/4"D, 4-1/4"T x 4-1/4"D, 3-1/4"T x 3-1/4"D Provenance: Ex-J.
