Description:

Greece, Hellenistic Period, ca. 3rd to 1st century BCE. A fine ensemble of three mold-formed pottery female heads, perhaps goddesses based on their elegant presentation. The shortest head bears an elaborate coiffure, heavy-lidded eyes, and a petite nose. The second, brown-slipped head has a slender form with a narrow neck, gentle brows, and a coiffure that is mostly covered by a simple cap or hair net. The largest head features a piercing gaze, a slender nose, full lips, a cleft chin, and a puffy coiffure with wild bangs framing her visage. A fabulous group from ancient Greece! Size of largest (puffy coiffure): 1.3" W x 1.5" H (3.3 cm x 3.8 cm); 4.375" H (11.1 cm) on included custom stand.
