Pre-Columbian, Western Mexico, Ca 300 BCE. Nice lot of three pottery vessels from this vanished culture. Not only did it vanish in ancient times, the area is now completely under water with a large damn built in the Guanajuato Valley. Two tripods in red slip, one with scalloped edges and red over buff decoration, other completely slipped red. Along with rare multi-colored bowl with orange, red, black and tan segments in the base. 7-1/4" D for largest. Provenance: Ex Pearson collection acquired from G. Martin.
