Ancient Southeast Asia, Vietnam, Dong Son Culture, ca. late 1st millennium BCE. An assortment of bronze wire bracelets of either full or fragmentary forms. Several pieces have wires that still make at least one complete revolution - some with two or more, and several are of either nearly complete forms or purely fragmentary. The ancient Dong Son people wore bracelets like this as a sign of wealth and status, since bronze was so highly cherished in their culture. Size of largest: 3.5" W (8.9 cm)
