Southern Italy, Daunian Culture, ca. 5th - 4th century BCE. Two terracotta pitchers, one with handle, flared rim and flat bottom. Hints of red paint throughout. The second has a remnant of a now missing handle and misshapen front rim. Slipped in red. 4-1/4"H & 3-3/4"H Provenance: Ex-Byron Farwell Collection.   • Condition: Heavy cracking and paint loss on larger vessel; cracks and losses on smaller vessel. Both with surface wear and root marking.
