Pre-Columbian, Peru, ca. 200 CE to 800 CE. First, interesting Nazca polychrome bowl decorated with beans, possibly with a bean shoot coming out of them. Best guess, this is a representation of the importance of beans were to the diet and paid homage to the growing season. Second is an Inca or Huari bowl with alternating bands in red with white diagonal lines and tan with black lines. Size: 5-5/8" (14.3 cm) in diameter for Nazca bowl.

Provenance: Ex-private Crested Butte, CO collection acquired in the 1980's.
