Cenozoic era, middle Miocene to end of Pliocene, ca. 15.9 to 2.6 million years old. Two fossilized teeth from this monster shark regarded as the largest and most powerful predator in vertebrate history. Both teeth show gray/tan enamel and nice deep black root. The larger of the two has much more root than normally found on these. Size: First tooth measures 4-1/3"L; second tooth measures 4"L. Provenance: Ex-private AZ collection acquired at Tucson Gem and Mineral Show decades ago.
