Greece, ca. 5th to 4th century BCE. A pair of ceramic plates, one with a wide, conical bowl and a low, narrow foot - possibly made for holding salt - and the other larger, with a lip around a nearly flat bowl. The latter has been fired to a glossy, iridescent black. Size of larger: 6.4" W x 1.45" H (16.3 cm x 3.7 cm)
