Description:

Pre-Columbian, Colima, Mexico, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. These are two spear points made from black obsidian that most likely came from eruptions of the Colima volcano. The point of one is still very sharp and there are flinting marks on all sides of the spear. The fluted ends are clearly visible, particularly on one piece. Dimensions: Both very similar, with largest measuring 7"L.

Provenance: Ex-private R. McDonald collection, Texas.
