Islamic, Umayyad, ca. 7th-8th century CE (larger) and Holy Land, ca. 5th century CE - 7th century CE (smaller). Larger example is a buff terracotta mold made lamp on a ring base with a large filling hole. On shoulder are two rows of vines; on the base is a circle with vine impression and central dot. Smaller example has a relatively more circular form shows a simpler decorative program with a much smaller filling hole, a concave ring on the base adorned with raised ring and dot, and circular motif on the shoulder. Smaller example is a Holy Land lamp that shares some features with the early Islamic lamps, mainly the shape of the handle and the wheel-like design on the base.   • Condition: Larger lamp shows some restoration - upper half reattached to lower half. Smaller lamp shows loss at handle and restoration to spout. Normal surface wear to both. Intact and good condition.
