Description:

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A fine gathering of cast-bronze tweezers from the Roman Empire. Included are 3 slender tweezers with rounded ends and gently-bent tips; 3 tweezers with triangular ends perforated with small suspension holes; 1 set with dramatically-curved tips and incised parallel striations; 1 set with wide-flared tips; 1 set with stamped circular motifs; 1 set with several attached chain links and incised motifs; 1 tweezer-shaped brooch with original pin intact; and a small iron chisel scraper. Size of longest (chain links): 3.25" L (8.3 cm).
