East Asia, Japan, Edo Period, ca. early to mid-19th century CE. A set of ten hand-carved bamboo arrows with slender bodies, feathery stabilization fins, and conical iron tips that taper to a point. The ends of each arrow are carved with either petite nock grooves or cylindrical sockets for attaching separately carved nocks. Size of each (all are relatively similar): 18.4" L x 0.2" W (46.7 cm x 0.5 cm)
