Northern Greece, Geometric Period, 8th century BCE. A superb example of this early Greek bronze votive vessel. Most likely from Macedonia but other examples have been found near Samos, and probably hung with precious oils on or around temples, this vessel has a bulbous body decorated with incised radiating lines, a matching "sickle-form" lid and small foot and perforated handle.
