Southeast Asia, Thailand, late 18th to early 19th century CE. A small cast bronze Buddha figure. He is lacquered red on his throne and black on his body. Wearing a simple sash and with a pronounced ushnisha, he is posed in the Dhyana Mudra. This is a gesture of meditation, with the hands placed in the lap, right hand on left, with fingers full stretched out and palms facing upwards. Size: 3.65" W x 6.15" H (9.3 cm x 15.6 cm)
