Description:

Native American, North America, Eastern Woodland, ca. 200 to 1000 CE. A lengthy and finely-formed celt, hand-carved from a light-brown stone with wavy dark-brown inclusions. The extended handle terminates in a slender, conical point, and the blade end displays a dramatically-tapered, acutely-angled edge. Use to slowly reshape softer substances with persistent shaving, this is a wonderful example of a utilitarian Native American tool! Size: 11.375" L (28.9 cm).
