Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Jalisco, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A tall example of a standing pottery figure exhibiting a classic 'sheepface' form with elongated facial features and pointed ears. The red-ground figure holds a tumi blade in one hand and is adorned with ample white pigment that creates a striped effect on the tunic as well as cicatrices on the face. Size: 3.25" L x 5.875" W x 12.125" H (8.3 cm x 14.9 cm x 30.8 cm)
