Description:

Ancient Central Asia, Indus Valley, Harappan/Mohenjo-Daro civilization, ca. 2700 to 2000 BCE. A sizable, hand-built pottery vase adorned with dozens of incised striations as well as faint red pigment. The vessel exhibits a discoid foot that stabilizes the inverted piriform body and broad, rounded shoulder, and four pyramidal nodules protrude from equidistant points around the neck. The squat neck is topped with a planar rim that surrounds the wide mouth opening. Size: 10.75" W x 12.45" H (27.3 cm x 31.6 cm)
