Pre-Columbian, Central Coast of Peru, Chimu, ca. 1100 to 1470 CE. A large rectangular textile panel comprised of tightly-woven camelid fibers dyed in hues of cream, wheat, and ruby. The panel features several columns filled with abstract birds of petite sizes, each with folded wings and an angular head with a thick beak. Mounted against a modern fabric panel of identical size. Size: 56.25" W x 38" H (142.9 cm x 96.5 cm)
