Description:

Ancient Seas, ca. 2 million years ago. A wonderful example of a Megalodon tooth that has developed glossy shades of black, grey, and brown through the process of fossilization. The serrated edges of the tooth are worn down, though they would have been incredibly sharp while the animal was still alive; many of the individual serrations are visible and can still be felt. The upper enamel portion also displays dozens of fissures, striations, and areas of roughness which are three additional results of fossilization. A lovely example from one of the ancient seas' most dangerous hunters! Size: 4.7" W x 4.6" H (11.9 cm x 11.7 cm); 5" H (12.7 cm) on included custom stand.
