Description:

North America, Montana, Hells Creek Formation, late Cretaceous period, ca. 70 to 65.5 million years ago. A fabulous example of a leg bone from the Edmontosaurus (Edmontosaurus annectens) that is stabilized in a white plaster cast. The sizable bone is comprised of hundreds of fragmentary shards that were partially reassembled before having plaster poured over to maintain its overall form.
