Description:

Ancient Seas, ca. 2 million years ago. A fabulous example of a Megalodon tooth that has developed glossy shades of black, grey, and brown through the process of fossilization. The serrated edges of the tooth are worn down, though they would have been incredibly sharp while the animal was still alive; some of the individual serrations are still visible. The upper enamel portion also displays dozens of vertical striations and areas of light roughness, which are two additional results of fossilization. A beautiful example of one of the ancient seas' most ferocious hunters! Lucite display stand for photography purposes only. Size: 3.8" W x 5.625" H (9.7 cm x 14.3 cm).
