Pre-Columbian, Vera Cruz, Mexico, ca. 500 to 900 CE. Large and quite spectacular pottery standing warrior. Once from a very large standing figure he stands with arms to the sides wearing a large headdress, necklace, earspools and belt, shoulders scarified, large ornament beneath his nose. What really sets this example apart is the extensive usage of bitumen with only small areas of reserved pottery. Custom wooden stand. Size: 8.5" W x 12.75" H (21.6 cm x 32.4 cm) for figure only.
