Africa, Cameroon, Bamileke Peoples, ca. 1st quarter of the 20th century CE. Grasslands region. Large and imposing male ancestor figure for the court of the chief. Carved in wood and covered completely with blue, green, and white bead decoration. He stands with legs slightly bent, nude holding a curved object (possibly a horn) in his hands. A very striking figure! Size: 10" L x 12" W x 57" H (25.4 cm x 30.5 cm x 144.8 cm)
