Description:

Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A sizable shamanic figure seated with outstretched legs, his hands raised with one to the mouth and the other grasping a bone-shaped club, with an incised hemispherical pendant centered on the chest. Atop the enlarged head is a horn-brimmed helmet that denotes the figure as a shaman, and the stone-burnished red surfaces imbue the figure with a mystifying presentation. Size: 8.4" W x 13.9" H (21.3 cm x 35.3 cm)
