Pre-Columbian, Mexico, Guanajuato Valley, ca. 300 to 100 BCE. A very large and ornately decorated pottery tripod. Standing on 3 very tall legs, each one holding rattling balls, with upper shallow bowl painted in deep red, black and tan with continuous snake, zig-zags and circular designs decorating the interior. Exterior with red and tan bands along with red and black abstract designs under the rim. Size: 10-5/8"in diameter x 8-5/8"H. Provenance: Ex P.
