Bolivia, 20th century CE. A silver crown intended for a Santos or Madonna and handmade in the Spanish Colonial style from high content .925 silver. A resplendor like this example would have been attached to the back of the sacred wooden figure with the curved extension. The silver corona (crown) or resplendor has been embellished with jewel-like designs using the repoussé technique and a simple cross tops the piece. Size: 6" W x 6.8" H (15.2 cm x 17.3 cm), 204 grams
