Native American, southwestern United States, Colorado or New Mexico, Anasazi/Ancestral Puebloans, ca. 1100 to 1300 CE. A gorgeous pottery bowl featuring a round base, hemispherical body, and an annular rim. The interior of this ancient vessel has been skillfully painted with several black-on-white registers including a broad central band with diamond-shape elements framed by two layers of a repeated circle pattern and several horizontal striations. The top of the dish is embellished with finely painted continuous rim-ticking. Size: 8.375" W x 3.375" H (21.3 cm x 8.6 cm)
