Ancient Near East, Achaemenid Persian Empire, ca. 550 to 330 BCE. A massive cast bronze bracelet with beautifully incised motifs around its broad body, an ovoid opening for the wrist, and thick raised edges on interior and exterior. The motifs are geometric - repeated diamonds - and also feature on the edge of the bracelet. A beautiful, heavy piece of adornment. Size: 4.25" W x 3.9" H (10.8 cm x 9.9 cm)
