Description:

**Originally Listed At $400**

Native American, US Southwest, Hopi people, ca. 20th century CE. A tall, deep vessel painted a deep chestnut brown, its surface scored to give it a rough-textured appearance. Perched on its rim are two kachina-like figures, each posed as if climbing towards the gently indented rim. One is a grey-blue, his arms grasping the side of the vessel, his head turns slightly to one side. A ring of feathers decorates his neck. The other figure is red, posed similarly. Both figures have that incredibly distinctive kachina face. Size: 11.7" W x 19.9" H (29.7 cm x 50.5 cm)
