Description:

Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, Jamacoaque (Jama Coaque), ca. 500 CE. An intriguing, hand-built pottery of a standing nude female figure that stands upright with arms extended from her sides. The figure features voluptuous curves, bare breasts and fine facial details. A pair of ornate, swirled earrings and a heavy beaded necklace accent her minimalist silhouette. Her face is elegantly proportioned with a rounded chin, a petite triangular nose, defined lips, and ovoid eyes. A beautiful figure with finely stylized attributes. Size: 4" L x 2.5" W x 8.75" H (10.2 cm x 6.4 cm x 22.2 cm)

Provenance: ex private Valencia, California, USA collection acquired around 1985
