Pre-Columbian, Colombia or Ecuador, Jamacoaque / Tumaco culture, ca. 500 BCE to 500 CE; Colombia or Ecuador (Carchi) region, Narino Highlands, Narino / Capuli culture, ca. 800 to 1500 CE. A set of 2 ancient pottery sculptures. First is a Jamacoaque or Tumaco figural bust that was at one time a larger figural whistle based on the tone hole in one side of the neck. The second artifact is a Narino pottery figural jar with a minimalist visage and slender limbs. Size (Jamacoaque bust): 1.375" L x 1.75" W x 2.75" H (3.5 cm x 4.4 cm x 7 cm); 4.625" H (11.7 cm) on included custom stand; (Narino jar): 2.75" L x 3.125" W x 3.375" H (7 cm x 7.9 cm x 8.6 cm)
