Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, Jamacoaque (Jama Coaque), ca. 500 CE. A hand-built pottery female figure sitting with crossed legs to form her stable base. She wears green bangles on her wrists, orange bangles around her biceps, and polychrome necklaces around her neck. Her bulbous head features crescent-shaped eyes, a sizable septum ring and labret, multiple ear ornaments, and an enormous cranium covered by a cap. Size: 4.1" W x 6.625" H (10.4 cm x 16.8 cm)
