Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, Jamacoaque, ca. 500 BCE to 500 CE. A hand-built pottery figure seated atop a beveled base that was perhaps used as a lid for a vessel or incensario. The figure is adorned in red pigment and displays a forked loincloth with a more petite figure on the front. Size: 2.9" L x 2.9" W x 3.6" H (7.4 cm x 7.4 cm x 9.1 cm)

Provenance: private Reinsmoen collection, Clear Lake, Iowa, USA, acquired through descent from Robert Anderson, acquired prior to 2000
