Description:

Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, Jamacoaque (Jama Coaque), ca. 500 BCE to 500 CE. A mold-formed pottery figure shown seated beneath a turquoise-hued shawl. Extensive finery adorns the neck, ears, and limbs of the figure, and a massive horn protrudes from the front of the headdress, perhaps indicating the figure's role as a shaman. Beneath the butt is a petite mouthpiece that creates a pleasing sound when air is blown into the hole. Size: 2.375" L x 2.625" W x 5.3" H (6 cm x 6.7 cm x 13.5 cm)
