A very detailed head pot. Face sports his hairdue on the left and right edges, a small beard and tattoos or scarification beauty marks to both sides of his large mouth, ears are pierced for probable suspension. Such suspension would allow this ornament to be carried around the neck. Probably used as a lime container. Jama-Coaque culture, C. 500AD. 3.75" x 3".   • Condition: Very good condition, one 2" piece, his right upper lobe, broken off and glued back with restoration over the breakline in the back only. A few ancient chips to the hairdue, a long scratch on the back. Nice mineral deposits and beautiful finish
