Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Jalisco, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A charming bowl with a huge flared spout. The body is painted a cheerful orange-red, with three bands of the same color around the rim, alternating with a creamy white. This bowl was probably made to be placed into a tomb as part of the West Mexico shaft tomb culture, containing offerings or provisions for the dead. Size: 6.7" W x 5.55" H (17 cm x 14.1 cm)
