Description:

**First Time At Auction**

Near East, Persia (Iran), Nishapur, ca. late 10th century to early 13th century CE. A pretty glazed cup or bowl, probably made for holding salt or some other small condiment at the table. The pottery is a coarse, pale brown, and the glaze a bright, deep blue. The glaze has pooled in one side of the bowl, making the color in that spot a deeper blue. The glaze extends around the body's exterior to just above its diminutive foot. Size: 4" W x 0.95" H (10.2 cm x 2.4 cm)
