Native American, Northwest Coast United States, Alaska, Utqiagvik (Barrow), Inuit, ca mid to late 20th century CE. A beautiful totem pole statue hand-carved from a single piece of walrus ivory, featuring a walrus surmounted by an eagle, wings spread skyward. The ivory is mounted on a polished black stone slab and wood base. The underside of the wood is marked in red and black ink "F.J.A. BRW AK 23." Size: 3" L x 2" W x 15.75" H (7.6 cm x 5.1 cm x 40 cm)

This is an ESA antique exempt piece of ivory and cannot be sold internationally or to anyone residing in the states of California, Hawaii, Illinois, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, and Washington.
