First Nations, Canada, Quebec, Inukjuak, ca. mid to late 20th century CE. A stone carving of a bird by Jacob Oweetaluktuk (1937 to present). The underside is signed with the artist disc number "E9-1565." The bird is at rest with wings outstretched and head tilted upward as if preening or basking in sunlight. Size: 6" L x 3" W x 6.75" H (15.2 cm x 7.6 cm x 17.1 cm)
