A finely carved bone comb adorned with a pair of prone foxes, lying flat at each end, facing one another, the one handled comb carved from creamy white bone. Several Inuit myths and legends reference the fox. For example, "How Fox Saved the People" is about a fox who saves the Inuit from a famine. A lovely piece from the indigenous Inuit of Alaska. Size: 7.5" L (19 cm).
