Description:

Pre-Columbian, South Coast Peru, Nazca culture, ca. 100 BCE to 800 CE. A lovely textile headband comprised of tightly-woven strands of camelid fibers (alpaca or llama) in hues of coffee and cream. The individual strands are knotted together in a fishing-net pattern, each vertical bar alternating in color, with sinuous cords extending from either end in a delightful helix-style pattern. Wrapped around one's head, this would be a colorful element to any ancient ensemble! Size: 44" L x 4" W (111.8 cm x 10.2 cm).
