Description:

Ancient Central Asia, Indus Valley, Harappan/Mohenjo-Daro civilization, ca. 2700 to 2000 BCE. A wheel-thrown vessel of a spherical form with a planar base, a sloped shoulder, and a petite rim surrounding the interior basin. The exterior surfaces are covered in pale orange slip and then adorned with intriguing linear and geometric motifs in hues of red, green, and black. One side of the vessel features a majestic bird with outstretched wings and displayed on the opposite side are a pair of lengthy fish with narrow heads. Size: 5.5" W x 4.4" H (14 cm x 11.2 cm)
