Ancient Central Asia, Indus Valley, Harappan/Mohenjo-Daro civilization, ca. 2700 to 2000 CE. A wheel-thrown pottery jar with a squat foot, a piriform body, and a flared rim. The orange-slipped exterior features a pair of abstract avian figures with plumed feathers and short beaks, and linear motifs segregate both creatures with red, black, and green hues. Size: 3.375" W x 3.375" H (8.6 cm x 8.6 cm)
