Pre-Columbian, Peru, Inca, ca. 1200 to 1500 CE. The square, four-pointed mace head is probably made of basalt and is undecorated, indicating that it may have been used in actual fighting situations. The center hole is slightly offset. Size: 4-1/4" at widest diameter. Provenance: Ex-private Mcdonald collection, Houston TX, acquired at local gallery or at auction between 1982 and 1994.
