Description:

Greece, Corinth, 6th century BCE. Lovely and larger than usual aryballos - perfume vessel - of rounded form with raised, almost flat, rim and small strap handle. This vessel is nicely decorated with central panel showing two ducks in profile with large central medallion with bird facing forward with wings outstretched and tail raised between. Rim decorated with concentric bands, shoulder with repeating tongues and liberal incising used to accentuate decorations. Size: 3.75" W x 4.25" H (9.5 cm x 10.8 cm)
