Description:

Ancient Western Europe, Spain, Iberian Peninsula, Iberian culture, ca. 6th to 4th century BCE. A fine example of a forged-bronze male figure standing nude atop delineated legs. The sinuous arms stretch out from broad shoulders and place minimalist hands atop the slender torso, and atop the elongated neck rests the orb-shaped head. The impressed eyes sit to either side of a petite nose, with a pair of protruding ears near the temples, and a rounded top. Mottled layers of brown and green patina envelop the entire figure in lustrous color. Size: 1.2" W x 3.8" H (3 cm x 9.7 cm); 4.2" H (10.7 cm) on included custom stand.
