Pre-Columbian, Peru, Huari (Wari) culture, ca. 500 to 1000 CE. A hand-built pottery canteen with an attractive register of curvilinear bands coursing across the shoulder. The dark red lower body and lighter upper body are separated via a light beige band, and a pair of pierced suspension loops are situated on the midsection of the shoulder. Size: 7.2" Diameter x 8.7" H (18.3 cm x 22.1 cm)
