A hand carved wood statue of the Corn Maiden kachina with the iconic squash blossom whorls, a hairstyle traditionally worn by unmarried Hopi women. Corn Maiden symbolizes corn growth, sustenance, and the women that prepare food for their families. This carving is naturalistic with wonderful details both carved and painted. The base is signed but indiscernible. Size: 2.25" W x 8.75" H (5.7 cm x 22.2 cm)
